Core values in life

Every person should have some core values in life and he must stick to them come what way, then only he will be respected by his inner self and will ultimately be happy in life.

Sometimes we tend to take decisions in life which relax our core values under the influence of our emotions but do remember that this will create an internal conflict if not the same day but later. This will not only create the feeling of disgust in you but also makes you a person of low integrity. So first identify what your core values in life are and always stick to them and be brave to take responsibility for the consequences of your actions based on those values.

Core values are fundamental beliefs each one of us have which constantly guide our behavior and help us in deciding what is right and wrong. Some of them might look like the one's below...

Sometimes we also get affected when people around us do not align to your core values but then we must realize that we have no control over other's actions. 

Perseverance is the key to success

One single word says it all !!!

Everyone dreams of achieving big goals in life which will make them feel proud and stay energetic (at least for sometime) in life, but not all of them will be able to march towards it.

One can quote tons of reasons for not being able to make it...I feel among many good things, perseverance is a virtue we all need to achieve great successes in life and to achieve things which might seem impossible to us today.

If you feel that you can't make it because you are facing obstacles or discouragements in your path the best way to come out of the feeling is to take inspiration from others who made things possible which seem to be impossible...it can be mountaineer who climbed the Everest after repeated setbacks or your father or sister who challenged themselves to come out of their comfort zone and made wonders in thier own careers despite of facing hurdles on their path.

Taking inspiration from others experiences in life will give you the confidence that you too can reach your goal which looks impossible today :-)

Independence vs Interdependence

Read a short story today which I could resonate the most, so wanted to share with you folks...here is how it goes...

A young girl and her father were walking along a forest path. At some point, they came across a large tree branch on the ground in front of them. The girl asked her father, “If I try, do you think I could move that branch?” Her father replied, “I am sure you can, if you use all your strength”.
The girl tried her best to lift or push the branch, but she was not strong enough and she couldn't move it. She said, with disappointment, “You were wrong, dad. I can't move it”. “Try again with all your strength,” replied her father.
Again, the girl tried hard to push the branch. She struggled but it did not move. “Dad, I cannot do it,” said the girl. Finally her father said, “Young lady, I advised you to use 'all your strength'. You didn’t ask for my help.

Moral: Our real strength lies not in independence, but in interdependence.

I always believe that interdependence plays a vital role in bringing out full efficiencies in us... But again its up to one's personal opinion as many of my friends always believe in working in silos or solving problems all by oneself or in short being independent :-)

Just you go for it...

Whenever a question comes to your mind about taking a decision about something in your life, take the decision based on what YOU want and what YOU feel is right for you and NOT based what OTHERS want or what OTHERS feel is right for you.

When you are making a decision based on what others feel right for you, today you might feel that they might be correct because of many reasons whether it might be they have more experience than you or they might be more wiser than you etc. but remember one thing it is you who should faces the consequences of the decision and not them!!!

Worst thing which can happen is you blaming your loved ones later in life for the decisions you took because they thought it is correct for you :-)

I have been seeing many examples around me which makes the point stronger and stronger each time I come across an instance... some friends taking bold career decisions and some taking bold decisions in personal life :)...Really proud of each one of you ra!!!

Dependencies.Dispose()

As I start writing this blog post, I strongly feel that I writing something which is against my beliefs but very much aligned to the views of most of my closest friends...

Wondering what I am talking about???

It is about dealing things all by yourself !!!

When I feel low or negative about anything these days I find it hard to get hold of a person to share my worries because they are not available when I need them due to various reasons whether it might be my second elder sister living in a different time zone or my close friends occupied with their own complexities in life 😊

Today I remember the words which Yamini keeps telling me always..."ONLY YOU CAN HELP YOURSELF". I feel it is high time I should take those words seriously in my life and start working towards it...

But at the same time I remember reading an article from The Hindu couple of months back which which highlights the fact that "Sharing our feelings with others who are supportive may help us see the irrationality underlining our thoughts. In addition, as we speak up, others may open up about their insecurities as well, which, in turn, may make us feel less alone"...

Conflicting views right??? Now I am thinking what should I do ?

Should I choose the way of handling things myself or Should I read the article's views differently and conclude that I don't have supportive people around me 😛 (My friends will kill me for this statement 🙈)

Thinking that there are no supportive people around me is not correct as I have many awesome friends who are always supportive... So let me choose the way of trying to handle things myself !!!

My Team

Past couple of days I somehow got into the feeling of remembering the days with my friends back then in college and comparing the days now... Also thought of writing the next version of "Busy Days Part IV" blog post :P, but felt my friends will kill me if I do so...

So for a change this time instead of bitching about my college & MACH friends as I always did in my "Busy Days I,II,III" posts, I want to write this post for sharing about "unofficial" friends [as I never acknowledged my official teammates as my friends :P]... 

I don't know if everyone will be as lucky as me to work with people who not only have great technical skills !!! but also are really down to earth and good at heart !!... One of the best teams I have worked till now... :) [ DON'T ask me how many total teams I have worked it is a very small number :P]

So here I present my TEAM :D

Set of very energetic and young folks with a special mention to our "ACTION HERO" :D :P...

I may not be able to mention each and every moment which made me feel very great and HIGH as I am not good at remembering things :P... 

These are the people who changed me from a calm and formal person to the most noisy person in the team...

 I feel very blessed when they show so much of care... They bunk lunches with their regular lunch mates to accompany me for lunch :D... They easily bring me back when I am low :)... They are the one's who cheer me up easily ....by annoying me by tickling when I on a serious conference call :P

Today I have easy conversations and debates with out hesitation and sometimes challenge the same person who taught me baby steps of technology when I was in internship just because he is down to earth and open :) Thanks to my first buddy /Mentor @ Microsoft!!!

It is just like in college today in office, we crack jokes by bulling each other and I think I win most of the times but I don't :P.... Its fun.. the same fun as in college :D :D :D 

When it comes to technical doubts and questions... I know I am "bacha" in front of the Mr.Perfect's in my team but still they patiently answer my lame questions :P Thanks for your patience !!!!!

I still have the same conversation on doubts regarding "Relationships" and "LOVE" in the same way as I used to in my college with my close friends,... now it is with the "Love Guru's" of my team.... Everyone is a champ in this subject... but still I am not convinced with the answers... need more clarity... may be few more discussions and I get that gyannn :P :P :P...This takes time as you all know learning from other's experience is not easy :P :P... [I am not chupa rustum but I pretend to be one :P]

I am happy today that I have really close friends who don't hesitate to grab my desk for a day and throw me to some other location ... Grrrr :@ not daily OK !! :P :P...

Ohh I forgot to make a mention of my another friend... highly technical and at the level of manager.. but still we both fight like Tom & Jerry... and worst part is when we argue or bully each other... my non-telugu friends in the team get pissed off as they don't get any idea of what is going on :P :P :P

Be responsive - It does not cost much of your time

Human relationships are really important in every moment of our lives be in personal or professional. It is a proven fact at least in software industry that you might be a geek and expert in your field, but if you are arrogant or perceived to be arrogant / not responsive, it takes no time to lose your credibility...Though there are other principles like trust & responsibility, in my view responsiveness comes first!

May be I forgot to bring out my definition of responsiveness, it is "ANSWERING BACK... the answer can even be something like "I will answer you back in 7 days""

It is the minimum respect you can show towards a person which will make him/her feel that your value & appreciate their intention of approaching you.

Similarly in your social life, does not matter whether you are master of all ideals or you are solution provider for any problem that some one brings to you, all of your intellectual capabilities are valued only when you respond on time :)

Now you might be thinking that I am providing contradicting views as the beginning I said even giving an answer that "I will answer you back in 7 days" is fine, so here is my justification to that - your first response can be that, so that you at least give the other person the benefit of explaining you the urgency of the matter whether it might be "A million dollar loss to the company" or  "Need help, I just met with a accident !!!", just imagine what if you don't even give the first response back in such situations :P

Ending on a lighter note in a technical jargon: "When we expect so much of responsiveness with the things we interact daily like responsive UX in websites, responsive mobiles... Just reflect back for a minute and think how much important it is for yourself to be responsive individual"
